2020/2021 Cappies Season

The 2020-2021 Cappies season was different from previous years. Because of the COVID-19 restrictions, most shows were virtual. The Cappies program also moved from an awards-based program to a review-only program. Schools were allowed to submit up to five shows instead of the usual one per year.

However, this time of racial reckonings and growing political divisions has shown there are many other factors causing the disconnect. Langley High School's production of "Long Division" explored why rifts form in our society and what ultimately brings us all together."

Under the water lies a deeper mystery: what happened on that fateful day, and how did it all go wrong? Langley High School's captivating production of Never Swim Alone invited listeners to dive deeper into the men's ocean of secrets as the true origins of their rivalry washed ashore."

"Listen, a real talk with someone is necessary when feelings of sadness and sorrow creep in. Whether someone is a youth or adult, feelings are a common feature in daily life; Langley High School's production of Real Talk illustrated this well through the dilemma of a college freshman and his struggles as his life rapidly changed."
